Top story

Farid Basharat, the unbeaten 16-0 bantamweight, confirmed on Thursday that he is no longer with the UFC. "The news is confirmed, I am no longer with the UFC," he wrote on Instagram, per Bloody Elbow. He said he was never offered a contract or an opponent after his last fight, and that his exit has nothing to do with his fighting: "the organisation just isn't what it used to be." MMA Fighting first reported the removal on Wednesday. He went 7-0 in the UFC, finishing with a decision win at UFC 329 in July. He has not named his next step. UFC.com's standard rankings table, fetched late on Oct. 15, still lists him at No. 13 at bantamweight. We found no UFC statement.

Corrections and still current

Maycee Barber vs. Carli Judice (flyweight) and Quentin Pasley vs. Junior Tafa were added to UFC 335 on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas, announced Oct. 14 (MMA Fighting). Makhachev-Prates for UFC 336 on Jan. 30 in Toronto remains a Bloody Elbow report citing Alvaro Colmenero, with no UFC announcement (Oct. 13).

Confirmed

Dana White said the UFC has no plan to move UFC 333, set for Abu Dhabi on Oct. 24. "Nope, we're going," he told UFC on Paramount when asked about contingency plans, per Bloody Elbow, which said the question followed recent airstrikes in the region. The card is headlined by Alexander Volkanovski defending the featherweight title against Movsar Evloev.

Raoni Barcelos told MMA Fighting he still has no diagnosis for the episode that ended his UFC Vegas 121 main event against Raul Rosas Jr. on Sept. 26, and that retirement "hasn't been ruled out." He said he is feeling better every day, had another MRI on Monday and is waiting on results. He is in Las Vegas for further tests.
