Medic stops Rodriguez in the first round as Belgrade finishes 12 of 14

Only two fights on the Aug. 1 card in Serbia reached the scorecards.

Uros Medic knocked out Daniel Rodriguez in the first round Aug. 1 at Belgrade Arena, closing a card that almost never reached the judges.

Twelve of the 14 fights in Serbia ended inside the distance. Ten of them ended in the first round, including the main event.

Two fights reached the scorecards.

Navajo Stirling stopped Jan Blachowicz in the first round. Mateusz Rebecki stopped Kyle Prepolec in the first round. Jovan Leka won by KO/TKO in the first round.

Aleksandar Rakic, Michael Oliveira, Borislav Nikolic, Bogdan Grad, Nina Milosevic and Stephanie Luciano also won on the card.

FightIQ flagged three fights before the event. Rebecki, Stirling and Leka all delivered the picked winner, and all three won by KO/TKO in the first round.

The four fights that went against FightIQ's board also ended early. Robert Valentin submitted Dusko Todorovic in the first round, and Gilbert Urbina stopped Vlasto Cepo in the first round.

Noah Gugnon submitted Milos Janicic in the first round. Tofiq Musayev stopped Ludovit Klein in the second.

FightIQ picked 10 of the 14 winners, a rate of 71.4%. The model called the method in 3 of 14.

The method column was the weakness. FightIQ predicted decisions in fights that ended in the opening round, including Rebecki and Stirling, on a night when only two of 14 bouts went the distance.

It was the second straight card where method was the weak column. At UFC Abu Dhabi on July 25, FightIQ called 5 of 12 methods.

A full grading of the Belgrade card, including the four misses and the method failure, is published separately.
