Bo Nickal said on stage Thursday that his UFC 335 fight with Joe Pyfer has moved from Dec. 12 to February, when he will headline a UFC event in Cleveland. "It actually got moved to February where I'm going to be main eventing in Cleveland," Nickal said at a rally for Vivek Ramaswamy in Ohio, per MMA Fighting. Pyfer reacted to the video on Instagram, which Bloody Elbow took as a sign the announcement was real. No exact date has been announced and we found no UFC statement. UFC 335 is at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Farid Basharat confirmed Oct. 15 that he is no longer with the UFC (Bloody Elbow, MMA Fighting). UFC.com's standard rankings table, fetched Oct. 17, still lists him at No. 13 at bantamweight. Dana White said Oct. 15 the UFC 333 card in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 24 is going ahead (Bloody Elbow). Israel Adesanya vs. Shara Magomedov remains a report from Ariel Helwani, not a UFC announcement (Bloody Elbow, Oct. 15).
All 26 fighters on the Edmonton card made weight at Friday's official weigh-ins, MMA Fighting reported. Buckley and Malott both weighed 170.5 pounds. Blanchfield came in at 125 and Jasudavicius at 124.5. Kyle Daukaus and Melissa Croden weighed in behind a box.
Combat Sports Anti-Doping said Friday that Jaqueline Amorim of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, accepted a six-month period of ineligibility after testing positive for low levels of ostarine in out-of-competition samples taken July 29 and Aug. 17. CSAD said the findings were consistent with low-level contamination rather than intentional use. Her ineligibility began Aug. 17 and expires Feb. 17, 2027.
Raul Rosas Jr. will make his RAF debut against Clay Guida at RAF 15 on Nov. 28 at NOW Arena in Chicago, the promotion announced Friday, per MMA Fighting. Rosas beat Raoni Barcelos at UFC Vegas 121 on Sept. 26.
Ivan Gnizditskiy, a 7-0 Russian light heavyweight, has signed with the UFC and is set to debut on Dec. 5 at UFC Riyadh, his management company Crown Sports Management announced on social media, per Bloody Elbow, which said MMA Junkie first reported the signing on Thursday. He withdrew from Dana White's Contender Series because of visa issues. His first opponent is not confirmed.
