What counts. Significant strikes are the official record’s own landed count, added across both corners and divided by the total time those fights lasted — pooled, so a fifteen-second knockout cannot pull the average up. Fight length is elapsed time from the opening bell, derived from the round the bout ended in, the clock at that moment and how long each round of that format was booked for — so an open-format bout from the 1990s is measured by its real length. A handful of bouts carry a recorded clock that cannot be right (a decision timed short of the round it was scored in); they are left out of this page rather than averaged in. A fight is a UFC bout on the official record with a result. Draws, no-contests and overturned results are excluded from every count on this page; disqualifications and could-not-continues are counted as fights, which is why the knockout, submission and decision shares do not add up to 100%. How this table is cut. Every referee with at least 30 UFC bouts on the official record, listed by fights officiated, most first. This is a list, not a ranking. A referee does not choose the assignments, so these are differences in the fights each one was given as much as in how each one calls them. Small samples. Referees with fewer than 100 fights officiated are greyed and marked small sample. They are shown, not dropped. 1,134 fights are outside this table. They were officiated by a referee with fewer than 30 fights on the record, or carry no referee on the record. They are not missing from our record — they are on the year-by-year archive like every other bout; there is simply no row here for them to sit in. Check us. Every number here is recomputed from the official UFC statistical record on each build — nothing on this page is typed in by hand. Search every fight to filter the same record yourself, or start from the year-by-year archive.
